AWS connection

The credentials this connector uses, and where the agent runs.

The region your resources were created in.

Connection and region

The connection supplies the AWS credentials; your admin decides which ones and who may use them.

The region must match the one the agent was deployed to.

Agent

Which AWS service holds the agent this connector calls.

A version or endpoint. Leave empty for the default endpoint.
The JSON key the user's message is sent under.

AgentCore Runtime

The payload shape is defined by whoever built the runtime, not by AWS. If the agent answers with the same fallback text every time, the field name is usually the reason.

prompt is this plugin's default and the most common convention.

AgentCore Harness

Pick this mode for a harness-managed agent.

DEFAULT is the endpoint AWS creates with the harness.

A harness receives the whole conversation, not just the latest message.

Classic Bedrock Agents

AWS is sunsetting classic Bedrock Agents. Existing agents keep working, but new agents should be built on Bedrock AgentCore and existing ones migrated. See AWS documentation.

The alias is the published version of the agent. TSTALIASID is the working draft AWS creates automatically.
