Paid Time Off and Leave Policy

1. Paid Time Off (PTO) Accrual
All full-time employees accrue paid time off starting on their first day of employment. During an employee's first two years, PTO accrues at a rate of 15 days per year. After completing two years of service, the accrual rate increases to 20 days per year. After five years of service, the accrual rate increases again to 25 days per year.

2. PTO Waiting Period
New employees begin accruing PTO immediately, but may not use accrued PTO until they have completed 90 days of employment. This waiting period allows new hires time to complete onboarding and training before taking their first days off.

3. Sick Leave
In addition to PTO, all employees receive a separate bank of 8 paid sick days per calendar year. Unlike PTO, sick leave is available for use starting on an employee's first day and does not carry over to the next calendar year.

4. Company Holidays
The company observes 10 paid company holidays per year. A full list of observed holidays is published on the internal HR portal each January.

5. Parental Leave
Employees who have completed at least 6 months of service are eligible for 12 weeks of paid parental leave following the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child.

6. Requesting Time Off
Employees should submit PTO requests through the HR portal at least 5 business days in advance for planned absences. Manager approval is required before time off is considered confirmed.
