This step creates and starts a managed DSS cluster and makes it the active cluster for the duration of the scenario.

The newly created cluster id is stored as a variable. When using this step, you generally need to have '${theVariable}' as the project cluster. Please see documentation for more information

If the variable already contains a cluster that was started by the scenario, the previous cluster will be stopped

Target variable

Name of a scenario-scope variable that will receive the identifier of the newly-setup cluster. If empty, __current_cluster__ will be used

Survives scenario run

Do not automatically shut down the cluster when the scenario ends

Store into project variables

Store the cluster identifier in a project-scope variable (rather than the default scenario-step variable). Recommended when "Survives scenario run" is set (else you'll lose the cluster identifier)

Name

If empty, a random name will be generated

Type
